  2. Dear Dr. bosworth, is it OK to have fat-burning capsules during the fast? I mean that there are some gelatin and spice extracts that might trigger the insulin response and spoil the whole idea. I'm planning to have a 100 hours waterfast with additonal mineral salt and capsules of fat-burners and anti-aromatases.

    So you started this video by talking about the layer of skin that remains in the abdomen after losing weight. But you have yet to say that autophagy well eliminate that skin. I
    I thought that’s where you were going when talking about self eating , eating oneself. So I put it to you Dr., will autophagy absorb the loose skin that remains around the abdomen after losing weight?

  5. Monday 3-25-19 my blood pressure was a shocking 188/109. I immediately decided to fast in an attempt to bring it down. I consumed nothing except 1 to 2 liters of water with a small amount of salt and Potassium Chloride(Snake Diet). Thursday 3-28-19 my blood pressure was 141/75. I lowered the systolic 47 points and the diastolic 34 points. I broke the fast with a ketogenic meal and I'm now back on a second fast. Very excited about being able to lower blood pressure without meds!

  6. Who knew that fasting would cause weight loss, mind blowing 🤯🤯🤯… I’m on day 5 of a 10 day fast and so far I’ve lost 9 pounds. I never thought I could go for more than 3 hours without eating. I wish I had know about fasting sooner!

    Not every communication has to be dumbed down to daytime television standards.

  9. Thanks, Dr. Boz! I really appreciate your videos and your way of sharing the info. You’re so down to earth! Also, just a note, in case it’s helpful. Many of us are interested in the science, maybe not the minute details of every process that goes on in the body, but knowing that the infois based in scientific rigor is interesting and useful. It gives credence to your argument. So thanks for the bit of science that you provide. No apologies necessary, at least not for many of us. I suppose many of your patients are like “just tell me what to do doc! I don’t need all those details.” I think that the people who come to your YouTube “office” are already interested in learning the “whys and wherefores.” So, thanks!

    It is a part of Muslim faith to fast for whole one month from dusk to Dawn (even drinking water is also not allowed).
    Besides, two.days of fast in week for rest of the months.

  11. This is proof that science and religion are very close. In many religions, there is a period in the year when you have to fast to purify yourself. Science took a bit more time to realize something that our ancestors knew. Or maybe science had to take charge now that we are going further and further away from religions. Either way, humans are winning and this is really amazing. Love it.

I do have a question: i do since years intermitted fasting and now omad fasting( 1 hour eating space) – but iam almost none day in keto ( urin test at home) does autophagy still work for me? Or do I need only keto to get better health/ autophagy?
    ( i only have coffee , water and tea all without anything added in the time when i dont eat)
