  1. I am over 50 and have lost 20 pounds in 3 months.. I have Not found Keto/low carb to be difficult at all..
    However, I do not look at this way of eating as a diet… but I see it as being born again..
    See, for 50 yrs. I have been told that I need to exercise more if I want to lose weight. Or I was told to stop eating my english muffins.
    The Revelation that Insulin stores glucose as fat, that FACT changed my life… I no longer was playing russian roulette with my weight, hoping that if I took more walks or joined the YMCA or stopped eating my muffin in the morning was magically going to cause me to lose weight. the guessing game as to why I would add weight and never lose it.
    But NOW… I know exactly how my body makes fat, what Is the source material of fat and I just don't supply the material that makes the fat.. Sure, I would like to have my english muffin, but I prefer NOT TO GET THE DIABETES more…
    That is my belief on why I have changed my life… All I needed to hear was INSULIN stores GLUCOSE as FAT.. That is FREEDOM.

  2. I’m so interested in trying this method of eating. However, I have genetic high cholesterol and am on cholesterol lowering meds. So, every time I think of eating high fat, I get scared. Both of my grandmothers and my dad died from heart related disease😢. I’m a66 year old woman who gained 100 pounds after menopause. It wasn’t just menopause, I quit smoking (go me), but my husband was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and we adopted our 4 year old grandson. All at the same time. Needless to say, there’s quite a bit of stress there. Now 15 years later, things are much better, but the weight,😱oh my goodness. I just started working out 4 days a week at planet fitness. A little cardio, strength training and stretching. So I feel like I’m on the right path, and I know I can greatly reduce my carbs. I’m just afraid of all the fat😟.   3. Excuse me but since many years we were told to avoid fats and fatty meats,isn't it unhealthy for our hearts to eat fatty meats,butter,coconut oil and all these things.I think a balanced diet with carbs,protein and healthy fats like avocado and virgin olive oil is the best.
    Also we need the carbs from whole grain foods,we need fiber.
    What's your opinion doctor?

  6. I am a very overweight female, age 76 trying the Keto diet. My problem is high blood pressure. I feel I need a doctors guidance to safely be on the diet. Can you please suggest a Doctor in the Lancaster, Pa area that understands the Ketogenic diet.

  7. I have lost 25 lbs. eating keto and intermittent fasting. I am now at a good weight and no longer insulin resistant. This has taken about 5 months. Unfortunately, during almost the entire time, I have had muscle cramping, especially at night. I have tried EVERYTHING mentioned on You Tube to address this issue. I use Endure Electrolytes, magnesium, potassium, Redman's sea salt, etc. I am wondering if I increased my carbs some, if my muscle cramping would stop. Any thoughts on this? Thank you!   8. 76yo/5'11''/196lbs. In Feb 2018 I weighed 240#. Today = 196#. Every year I do a CBC physical. I have NO health issues, including no diabetic or cholesterol issues. The 'don't eat' foods are quite easy for me to avoid. I have a continuing problem finding foods to add to the 'do eat' list. However, there is no doubt these videos are very helpful. Thank You Doctor!

    I turned 60 this year. On January 1st, I weight in at 360 pounds. I was trying to lose some weight, but only lost 8 pounds in 9 months. Then on Oct 7th, I had a doctors appointment. He was happy that I had lost some weight, but said I needed to lose more. He ask if I had heard of Keto, I knew the name but that's it. On the way home, I stopped at McDonalds for breakfast. While eating I looked up Keto. I started working on doing it, but it took about a month, to get it very close to right. Since Oct 8th, I have lost 25 pounds!! Plus I am feeling the best, I have felt in 16 years!!!! I hope to be able to shock my doctor, when I go in next February. I plan to be under or very close to 300!!!
